The Scripture reading for today as we begin our study in the book of Genesis is, Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 and verse 2 and then I want to read two other brief passages from the remainder of the Bible. So, if you have your Bibles with you, I hope you will turn with me to Genesis 1:1 and 2 and I am reading from the New American Standard Bible. We read in verse 1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and the earth was formless and void and darkness was over the surface of the deep and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters”.
